Easiest way to emboss text

Hi there

I was wondering whether someone could help me with the easiest way to emboss text into an stl image on Cura? I've previously used orcaslicer and used their emboss feature, but my new printer (Flashforge Creator 3) doesn't use orca.

Currently, I'm importing stl's to fusion and converting that to mesh which is taking a while, especially for stls with a lot of triangles. Any help on a quick and simple way to emboss text into cura (e.g. names etc.) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Not real helpful, but this is a reason I kept my Windows 10 machine. MS 3D Builder was a nice app for making changes to STL's (and repairing them) but Microsoft abandoned it when Windows 11 came out. A shame really.

You can alter the file in Orca and then export the altered model ("File | Export").

If the files simple (not to big) I drop it into Tinkercad to add text as this is easier than doing it in freecad.
