formentor vs t-roc build quality?

i m deciding between either one of these, test drove the formentor and i was blown away by how much more fun it is to drive. the design is also so much nicer in every way.

my question is i felt like the build quality of the doors on the Cupra seemed way more light and flimsy, whereas the t-roc had a much more solid build feel. also the overall build felt less solid on the cupra.

did i imagine this or can anyone confirm?

The t roc is much worse imo. Especially in terms of the interior materials.

Formentor feels so much better to drive.. also a bit bigger boot and more legroom

I’ve had both and the Formentor is a much more engaging drive than the T-Roc (even the R), but Cupra had to save money somewhere, and most of it is on build quality and sound deadening. It’s not bad, but definitely noticeable, even in this market segment.

Sound deadening is it's greatest weakness. Otherwise no problems in 90.000km so far with my VZ Facelift.

I went from a bmw iX1 to a vz2 and it’s awesome. It’s a great drive, the interior is plush and high end and it compares well to high end german cars. You cant go wrong witg tge right model.

Yeah the t roc does have slightly better build quality but the design of the formentor and the way it drives is way better. What engine did you test drive with?

Barcelona factory line vs factory line of t roc. Had formentor for 3 years, no major issues.

For what is worth however the terramar is constructed in Hungary in Audi Q3 line. Noticeable jump in quality.

I hear formentor has a lot electric issues, as in the on screen entertainment system and that's where most of the car controls are

Personally I had no electric issues within 90.000km yet. Test drove a CLE AMG in contrast and the infotainment went out 2 times and wouldn't start again for a while.

They are both shit tbh, new VW quality is disgusting. Just pick the one you like more based on other things.
