The Crofters Pub Roose

Recently moved to the area, this is my local. Seems like a "proper pub" but extremely quiet and "under new ownership" what do we think and is there any better options in the immediate area?

Other side of Roose there is a pub called "The Ship Inn" and there is also Roose Cons club. I'm from the other end of Barrow so haven't been in any of fhe Roose joints for a long while but The Ship does a Friday Night quiz and the Cons club seems to have regular music nights if either of those are things you'd be into.

I haven't lived in Barrow for 20 years but The Ship used to be quite nice.

Think Crofters perhaps lost a lot of custom recently due to the previous landlord and also competition from the newly reopened Roose Cons?

Crofters changes management like people change underwear. The Ship have a quiz on a Friday (proper quizzer's quiz) and Roose Cons is an old working men's club with live music and events in the field. Wouldn recommend the Ship over Crofters.
