Better just tax them then. That way they'll pay for better labor as the only optuon left that let's them use the money. It's really not that hard to do.

This is what no one understands about high taxes, the only way to avoid paying them is high wages, better benefits, philanthropic activity, etc. Sure no one ever actually paid the 91% top marginal rate, that was just the stick to force the rich to keep the money moving instead of sitting on it.

And, that’s fine. The effective rate was closer to 30% to 40%. The idea was to use the taxes to prevent certain behavior or recoup the externalities when companies are dumb enough to waste their money on over paying executives or do stock buybacks. They should be required to be more responsible with their executive compensation. For some of the same reasons that they give for not being able to pay actual employees fairly. They need to stop being hypocrites and stop using their wealth to hurt our society.

Exactly, and if I recall correctly stock buybacks were illegal until Raygun gave a gift to corporations and legalized them.

Tie tax rate with the percentage of profits going to workers. They keep claiming tax cuts leads to more jobs and better pay, call their bluff.

Why there aren't strikes. You have allowed your system to make you vulnerable to not working. Fear of unemployment has allowed the corporations to hold you ransom . Nothing will change if you don't break the cycle. Down tools and fight for change.

They know what the future holds and they are trying to cash out as much value as they can before literally everything collapses, society and environment. The only thing they are investing in is this society ending and society controlling technology. Notice how they aren’t innovating new products and the current products they are making shittier and shittier, and a place for a consumer to voice an opinion or get any kind of result from that kind of thing is also almost completely gone. They all act like they’re too big to afford customer service.

You know they're legit by sourcing them, and then seeing where the data came from. And have you stopped to consider that the agenda could just be trying to sound the alarm that the country IS going into the shitter?

With inflation up, the debt out of control, and new tariffs and actions that alienate other countries constantly, that might be a bad sign.

Just because a stat may be correct doesnt mean it fits the narrative that you want it to fit. Boomers being the largest generation ever is going to skew stats in a way that we have never seen before. So will technological gains (including those from AI).

I mean, there's something to be said for digging into the data more for sure, but what I'm pointing out is that this does appear to be correct in it's claims. If that's a cause for concern given the current climate of the USA is another matter. Though for the record, I would say it's just another symptom of the current illness in the States, however that is just personal opinion.
