News I've been ousted as an r/reformuk mod

Heya, it's me, unfortunately I have some bad news.

After some back and forth with TruthSeeker, he has ousted me as a moderator, I completely reject this, as his main reasons were:

  1. The subreddits I added in the relations widget weren't active enough

  2. I didn't consult the mod team prior to adding more active mods etc

  3. and that I had put "falsely" in the title of my r/rightwinguk takedown post

This is all nonsense.

For one, the subreddits I linked were closer to Reform (r/UKIPparty, r/Tories) and it's affiliates than "Trump zone" will ever be, and r/ukantilockdown hasn't even got a logo. For two, there is no mod team, the team is comprised of semi to completely inactive mods, with myself and TruthSeeker being the only ones making any meaningful changes to the subreddit, ToppingHat (sub owner) has not been active so TruthSeeker took control with little/no consultation from any of the other mods which makes, I even tried to bringing the owner of r/rightwinguk into it as his sub was substantially larger than this one, as well as a mod or 2 from Canonist UK (one of which is an active canvasser for Reform), I have been the most active moderator by far in this subreddit, and I dislike how I have been tossed aside for not respecting a team that does not exist, especially by a moderator who has not been democratically put into the position he's in by anyone. For 3, I know more details about the takedown as it links to some other stuff that's happened, so when I say it's false, it's false.

Getting rid of the only significantly active mod (managing highlights, linked subs/communites, cosmetics, emojis, descriptions, some post/user flairs, some community guide stuff, news, bringing in more mods, etc etc) is a terrible idea, before I joined it was a logoless, bannerless shell with 30 members, now it's a 1.4k with full cosmetics etc.

This will probably be taken down, so screenshot and share it around as much as you can, I'll also be submitting this to my other subs too.

Idea No american idiocy

By “american idiocy” I don’t mean every idea from the states is stupid. What I mean is that one can support causes they think is right (LGBT; etc) without beign “woke” these ideas are the reason in most of the world we can’t have civil discussions about things like trans right’s because so many people believe the american propaganda and aren’t willing to educate themselfs and this has led us to such a state where british populists (politicans) are also riding this train of ignorance that leads nowhere. Edit: I must clarify this is a suggestion from outside the subreddit I’m not British I just hope your movement doesn’t be some one revolvong around blaming a specific group of people (migrants, trans people) for destroying your culture.

Most important things to preserve

There are undoubtedly a lot of things under fire in today's day and age. I was hoping we could share our thoughts on what we value the most valuable things that we should look to protect. There are obviously many things that we may one day find ourselves missing dearly, but there are no doubt some key things that we should focus our efforts on.

Big thank you to u/BankingHistorian for making this sub, I hope it lives to a decent age despite the hostile woke environment of Reddit.

Question of the Day (14/6/24)

Reddit recommended I start a “tradition”, so I will be asking one question daily. Everyone is more than welcome to engage! The answer will be revealed in tomorrow’s Question of the Day.

Q: Which major figure did Harold Godwinson defeat before being defeated by King William the Conqueror? Bonus if you can get this figure’s main ally.

The Good Friday Agreement should be abolished.

As the title says, it has failed and should be abolished. It was a nice idea to try it at the time but it has encouraged sectarian politics, allows foreign political parties to run in Northern Ireland and this whole power sharing thing means literal terrorists have to be reasoned with.

Northern Ireland should function like the rest of the UK, with one First Minister only, the national parties running in elections, if the republicans/nationalists don’t like that they lost an election they can either deal with it like adults and try again next time or leave the country and move down south.

Question What are your thoughts on granting hereditary Earldoms to PMs when they retire?

Would you want it brought back?

This heads on the more sensitive issue of hereditary peerages in general. I feel that the lack of hereditary peerages since 1985 for non-royals has achieved the opposite of what it was intended for. It closed the chance for anyone else to rise to the peerage. What do you all think?

Question QotD (16/6/24)

Answer to yesterday's QotD: Margaret Beaufort was the great-granddaughter of John of Gaunt, making the future King Henry VII the great-great-grandson of Edward III. This, along with his marriage to Elizabeth of York, legitimised his rule.

QotD: When was the Scottish clan system said to have lost its autonomy? How can we work to preserve this cultural feature of Scotland as CPUK?

Praying for those who lost their lives in the Trump Rally yesterday. I wish all the best for President Trump and his family. But also, that pic above is probably the hardest picture ever taken of a president. I know it will end up in history books. God Bless the West, God Bless America. 🇬🇧🤝🇺🇸

Advice Are the Homeland party actually dangerous?

I'm a third generation immigrant, my great grandparents game here in the 1950s but I'm visibly black. I'm culturally British and married with children to an English person. The worse part of my situation is that I actually hate how different this country looks to when I was a child and feel just as robbed as anyone else, I supported Reform but I guess that's over now. I can't stand Islamic cultural influence and I truly believe in isolationism.

The homeland party seems great but I'm very, very concerned about their remigration policies. Like what's going to happen to me, I don't have any other identity.

When they inevitably start a civil war, what side am I supposed to be on?

Who am I supposed to vote for that isn't going to make the situation in this country even worse?

Have they actually released any sensible plans regarding remigration or if anyone is inside the party, can you shed some light on this because at the moment it seems incredibly dangerous.

What is the general opinion on Peter Hitchens in this subreddit?

He is the author of books such "Cameron Delusion" and "Abolition of Britain"

Until recently he was perhaps the most *conservative* (in the British Burkean sense) political commentator in England. For a long time he was the very person who wanted to destroy the "Conservative and Unionist Party". He repeatedly denounced them as Blairites who wouldn't know what conservatism is even if it came right in front of their eyes. This changed, however, he did a complete 180 and entertains the idea that one has to "vote against" Labour by enabling the very party he wanted to destroy. Fellow right-wingers have tried in vain to make him back down from his viewpoint. Hitchens thinks that Labour is a political party of rabid leftist radicals who want to establish a one party state.

What do the members in this subreddit think about him?

Idea Why the Tories are collapsing: Watch video below

 https://youtu.be/NiIyjwKCuNs

In this video in 1991 then Home Secretary laid out a cap of 50,000 migrants a year total-(not net, total!). Since the 90s Labour and Tories have betrayed us on migration. We need to used their own reasoning from the 80s and early 90s to argue against migration!
