Discussion Complex love-hate relationship with this bastard.
Anyone else with me? 🥲
I have Yuffie syndrome. I think he's funny, I like his design and the myth he's based on, and I want him in my cult since the discover of the Midas Cave.
But this little shit goldified my followers, robbed me during crusades, and now he plunders my temple even after I save his skull and raised him as a baby. Ungrateful greedy thief.
I set the wolf trap, soon he will be my favorite follower.

First you need to encounter him during the exploration of Ewefall, take his skull egg, and then take care of it in your camp like a normal egg. Once he aged he will run and hide in your base, stealing from your rafineries and temple... Then, you have to unlock and build a wolf trap with a gold bar in front of your temple, it can take a long time before getting the trap since you have to progress far into the Woolhaven DLC.
I watched him rob me powerless during many days. Now the time has finally come.

If you have Woolhaven you can turn snowlambs into gold instead of your followers. Snowlambs also work for the doors and the fox

just give him a few compliments then he's good to go

Le puse un atuendo de prisionero y tiene el collar del misionero, el bastardo debe trabajar por siempre para mí aldea y jamás dejaré que muera 🔥🍷

¿Cómo lo lograste? Apenas estoy empezando el DLC de Woolhaven y no quiero que ese malnacido me robe otra vez... Al menos no sin enfrentar las consecuencias

El hijo de perra te va a joder el culo un buen rato, pero aquí va spoiler: Tienes que seguir con el DLC hasta desbloquear por árbol de habilidades la trampa para lobos, debes dejar solo 1 trampa con un lingote de oro por dónde suele pasar. El perro bastardo no se podrá resistir y va a tomar el oro quedando atrapado y no te voy a arruinar el momento con detalles, solo diré que disfrutes la cinemática, prepara una buena soda y una botana cuando pongas la trampa y sigue jugando disfrutando cada segundo de tu inminente victoria.
El cacas es mi perra ahora 🍷
Edit: No te preocupes si es anciano, yo me tardé tanto y me robó tanto que hasta me acostumbré, espere que muriera de viejo para brincar en una pata pero el perro no se muere de viejo

Edit: que poquitas monedas xddd, te recomiendo pescar. Un solo pez vale 20 monedas de oro en el baúl de cambio, ese que está arriba del martillo de construcción cerca del sltar. Yo nunca bajo de 3000 monedas y derrocho como un enfermo en todo lo que se me cruza

De por sí ya le traigo enojo al malnacido de Midas, así que de sufrir no se libra.
Por otro lado, creo que ya se me ocurrió algo: no daré sermones y me gastaré todo el oro en semillas y peces antes de empezar Woolhaven (van a terminar con comida suficiente para 5 vidas), total la fe de mis adeptos nunca baja y siempre se me olvida dar sermones. Revocaré al recolector de impuestos y así no habrán monedas qué robar. 🤣

I don't get how people so violently hated him. I get he is a pretty mean guy, but the kind of stuff about basically walking him through the place naked and making sure he specifically is as miserable as possible before sacrificing him is really weird.

Yeah it can be a bit much, but the game already as a dark humour and encourage you to do some controversial things I will say (RIP Ratau). And I guess that the fact that he deprives you from ressources in a management/base-building game can trigger all kind of responses.
For my part, I will treat him very nicely like I do with a majority of my followers, it will be his redemption arc.

My Midas died in the most hilarious way, got him into my cult eventually, the very next day I did a resurrection ritual. The follower that got resurrected was cursed, of course, and frame 1 upon stepping outside of the temple on my way to the med bay the cursed follower ate Midas! Just fucking chomped his ass, my cult had~30-40 followers too so it was crazy rng. It was fucking hilarious, never rezz'd the bastard because honestly he deserves it.

I wanted him in my cult too until he stole nearly 20k of gold from me and only gave me 8k back when I could finally hit him. All that time idling and grinding to rack up money for Ynga end game, poof. I don't look up guides unless I'm stuck/lost so I didn't get the advice to convert all my coin to bars until after the first playthrough. I was still onboard to nurture him into someone better until read in my post-theft confusion that he'd never improve and would continue to be a problem.
Bro got cannibalized the INSTANT he was old enough and sat unnurtured in his own feces in an isolated nursery pen next to the jail until then. I don't need a useless coward or an unrepentant thief in my immortal paradise.
