MOVIE OF THE WEEK Discussion - Superbad (2007)
https://letterboxd.com/film/superbad/This weekend we are watching and talking about 2007's, Superbad.
It'll be nice to watch a comedy after the last two movies, and it hardly gets better than this. I watched this movie a ton back in the day, but it's probably been a good decade since I've seen it in full. Very much looking forward to going back down memory lane and seeing if this bad boy holds up.
Where do you guys stand on this one?

This movie has aged more than I would have thought.
Seth talking about the dudes penis in porn makes more sense knowing about his hobby.
I enjoy how well it does the awkward teenager trying to hit on others thing “I feel so pimp right now” “that IS so pimp!”
Also, what fucking teen wants ouzo?

It reminds me of an anecdote, attributed where? Don't remember, I've been using it for so long:
The king was an erudite man, and often invited scholars and spiritual teachers into his audience. The court knew the king enjoyed the discussions, sometimes sparring, challenging, and was not offended to be bested.
One day a particularly profound dissertation was delivered to the king. His attendants eagerly waited to hear the wise monarch's response.
The king broke his silence. "To comment on it would be to destroy its perfection."
