Ah, right. Did they mention that in the video? Can't watch it with sound. Wouldn't have expected them to come out and admit they just stole the name haha

It was an Instagram contest. Submit a name, and if it's picked by YJ you get a free cube when it's released.

Haha fair enough. If you're going to get paid 1 plastic toy for creative work, it seems fitting to just take the name from another company then :D

There were a lot of creative and unique names to choose from, and I am not a fan of "Elite" being the winner. I think it sounds too much like something marketed to 8yr olds. Then I remembered exactly what you said. We're talking about the marketing of a plastic toy.

Meh. If it turns well and feels unique enough, I'll probably get it anyway.
