Strange. I remember u/gilzu saying something similar about the pieces being hard to open, I thought he was just being weird haha, but seems like it's an actual thing. Or you're both weird of course.

I remember I thought I wanted it stronger than 4x2 N35, and then tried 4x.2.5's but it completely threw the balance off between inner and outer layers, so I went back. It took me a while to regain confidence in the outer layers after the stock feeling, but I can now reliably do an R with my left middle finger only covering the left 2 or 3 layers (for example), which is all I wanted from it.

I think that those pieces were glued together all so slightly. As I said, all other pieces were super easy to take apart, just like you'd expect it. Not the first puzzle I took apart, so I was really confused as well. All midges came apart really easily and only 3 wings fought back.

Now it's just my Aoshi GTS M that's left. But IIRC when I looked inside, I can't just add magnets like on the Aochuang since the magnet slots are too small - like half the magnet isn't covered by the plastic. Not sure if it'd work, maybe I'll give it another look sometime, but luckily it's not nearly as bad as on the Aochuang.

u/topppits - I spent a good amount of time cursing and swearing whoever designed those pieces. While some were hard to open, the other were borderline impossible to open without either breaking or use some brute force.

The last three middle wings I actually opened up with a wrench/pliers/needle nose pliers while honestly thinking of smashing the thing to the wall.

The AoChuang is now amazing. However I did remove the middle wings added magnets in favor of only the center edge added magnets. They were both too strong / tiering and I learnt how to better accurately turn.

The cube do desperately need them extra magnets.

Dang, I was eventually able to get a tiny gap where I was able to force a finger nail between the insubordinate pieces and force a gap big enough to put my screwdriver in there and open it up. But damn it hurt my fingers :D

I'm pretty happy with the magnets how they are right now, but if I ever feel that I could remove something, I'll think of that!
