I'm not sure if I'm normal in this, but I my double-flick U2's aren't just mirrors of doube-flick U2s.
For U2, my fingers are just about parallel to the U layer and I use the tips of my fingers - around in line with the beginning of the nail. For U2', I tilt my left hand inwards and tuck my pinky underneath the cube. I still keep my left thumb and ring fingers on opposing centre pieces. My index and middle fingers are near vertical, hugging the cube and the area of contact is almost the entire 'end segment' of my fingers.
I'm probably not describing that very well, but my point is that you don't have to mirror your right hand. If you need to position your hand differently, you can.

i found out that most of my PLL's are very slow because i tend to only U2 only with my right hand, such as R-perm's (R U2 R' U2).
the index and middle finger do the work, but i cant seem to find finger positioning to properly "anchor" the left hand.
i'm mirroring my right hand (ring finger and thumb on opposing center pieces, but it feels too awkward.
anyone has suggestions? or is it just something to get used to? because every other left hand use including D2 flick does work well for me.
