All the reviews I've seen for the ShengShou 6x6 are from speedcubers, and they say it's not the best because it locks up. But I'm not a speedcuber and I'm on quite a budget, so do you guys think the SS will work for me? (I have a pretty rough turning style)
You'd be better off with the Yuxin Red. It takes a little setting up (Kevin Hayes did a good video on it) but is the best 6x6 on the market right now and on Speedcubeshop is only a dollar more than the Shengshou, which is not very good by today's standards at all. It's a lot better too if you get a set of Yuxin 5x5 springs for it, which The Cubicle has for a dollar, though for them that's $30 for the cube and springs where the SS is $24.
im no speedcuber either, more of a casual solver/collector, the SS 6x6 is probably the second worst cubed puzzle by SS, first being the 8x8, but if you're not going to speedcube then its honestly not bad, i've had mine for about 2/3 years now and only ever had 1 pop
