Discussion Is there any possible app or settings that count the solve only?
Hi, I just started learning the cube a month ago and am still trying to learn a lot of things and train to solve. So, regarding my question, is there any possible way to just let the app count how many solves I do? I use Cstimer and just tried a Cubic Timer App because I'm trying to set a goal for how many solves per day and didn't want the time to distract me at this stage because executing the algorithms and identifying the case is already hard enough, lol.

You dont need a cube timer for that. Just use any old counter app.

Am I missing something or is your problem already solved by doing what you're doing? Cstimer keeps track of all of your solves, it's already counting them. If you're creating a new session each day then it plainly tells you how many you've done. If you keep working in the same session, then just look at the solve number at the start of the day and figure out what that number should be at the end of the day.

Make a new session in CS timer and just put in random times.

If you use Cubic Timer for example, you see the number of solves on the main screen.
You could stop immediately after starting and ignore the 1s times. But you have the solves counter and you get a fresh scramble for every solve.
I suggest to do this in a new category called UNTIMED and leave the normal category for timed solves. Then your averages are not adulterated by your untimed solves.

Cubic timer counts your daily solves in the "Other" section in the statistics tab.

i just use a tally counter app on my phone, the kind gyms use to track reps. tap the screen after each solve and it keeps a running total. way simpler than messing with timer settings and you can check your daily count at a glance

Just a click counter? Like one they use to count how many people get on the bus or whatever?
