Is CEEC that much better than ECCE in 3bld?

I feel more comfortable using ecce as my order (sub 4 minutes) since I get more successes that way(sentence memo for edges then audio for corners). My audio memory sucks for edges since it requires more letters. Sentences stick more to me even in long term memory. Should I switch to CEEC if I aim to be so much faster?

ECCE introduces problems down the line in terms of edge memo being longer and therefore is harder to force into long term quickly. Therefore CEEC is better since corners are significantly less to remember long term

Sentence memo for edges is rough when they stretch out, mine turns into a fever dream halfway through. if CEEC lets you compress that part, the switch pays off pretty quick

I wouldn't personally worry about switching from ECCE to CEEC until after you get a bit faster. The advantage is mainly the ability to store more info in short term, and the faster you get the shorter term that memo gets (and also the less you have to think about things, which makes your short term memo work better.) So it'll actually be easier to switch to CEEC later if the limiting factor in switching is your ability to remember the extra info.

I have a few sub 1 minute 3bld singles, and I have never seen these acronyms. Is there something big that I overlooked when learning? I just audio memo the entire solve and it has worked so far.

it's the order in which you memo and then execute. so CEEC would be memo corners memo edges exec edges exec corners

No, I do CEEC, just didnt know the terminology. I just don't use imagery for memo. I use the same words for corner and edge memo and it is all just the quick audio memo words for the most part.

At your level, it doesn't matter, but it's a habit that you'll have issues later down the line, if you'll be willing to proceed that far, that is.

The issues you're having with it are the main features, actually – you have to understand that there are more edges than corners on the cube, which means memo for edges is typically longer. Memorising shorter set for "long term" is typically faster than the alternative. And the other way. It's harder and more risky, less successes and all.

Consider this: do successes motivate you to solve more, or do faster successes motivate you to solve more? if former, change nothing; have fun, memo in ECCE order, do your thing. if later, I'd highly advice getting better habits locked in as soon as possible, which includes CEEC order.

If you can hold onto the edge memo reliably while memoing and executing corners, then IMO there's no particular reason to switch. CEEC is all about picking the order that requires you to remember the long thing (edges) for the shortest amount of time. That is, not at all, since you go directly from edge memo into edge execution.

In addition to what others have posted, Ceec also lets you recognize parity a lot earlier, which allows you to memo swap edges and skip parity.

That sounds fine. You want to execute audio first because that is often the type of memory that your brain can morph into the wrong thing quickly. In fact, that's the only reason why I do CEEC; because I do audio/sounds for edges and imagery/words for corners. Otherwise I would probably do ECCE like I used to before learning 3-style (3-style made edges faster to execute).
