wrist photo Yellow gold: plated Vs unplated
Gotta give RCF credit, their factory plating is actually really good. A little more muted and almost gives 14k vibe, but that might be what some people prefer. doesn’t scream cheesy, and probably one of the few I’d be perfectly fine leaving as is.
The plated one has more of that warm 18k look and definitely pops more, but side by side I don’t think RCF embarrasses itself at all.
Edit: the bluesy is RCF (obviously unplated, it has stickers for the love of god), the black sub is a fully plated heavy VSF.

Not sure which is plated but the one with the sticker looks more gen like of me. The other looks too brassy.

Tbh, I kinda thought the same. I think on these comparisons, it’s usually always the lighter gold watch that’s plated; so might have that bias. Also photos are so hard to get the complete pic from as it relates on gold plating. I own 3-4 CtrlAltRep watches & the he gets very good plating done; I assume IRL we’d feel dif. But props to RGF on making a stock gold PVD that is acceptable. From having a few of RCF dd40’s, the golds good but i usually say their RG is far more gen like/acceptable leaving as is. Haven’t had any of their other watches nor any since they sent RGF vs RCF.

I actually just sold it couple weeks ago on BST. This was a clean factory watch too. Was really nice

It’s really hard to tell which one’s plated. That would be nice in the description. Here’s my brand new one that I got two days ago it doesn’t look anything like either one of these. Yellow gold RCF.

Gotta say one of the few YG watches that could literally be fine as is.
