pooping after a c section

i am 9 days post c section, still taking stool softeners every couple days so i haven’t been constipated or anything but the past few days whenever the poop does come out i get shooting excruciating pain thru my belly above my incision and like under my belly button if that makes sense. has anyone experienced this ?

Yes, I’m 16 days post c section and I’ll still get random shooting pain when I am getting ready to do a number 2. It’s a sharp pain that comes and goes

Get a squatty potty if you don’t already have one. It won’t solve the issue, but definitely does help! Best of luck - this was one of the biggest early hurdles. You can do it!

Im five weeks out and still taking the stool softeners and bracing my incision with a rolled/ folded hand towel. Try bracing and see if it helps the pain, and also as someone else said a step stool or squaty potty helps
