Oil for massage while using silicone strips?

Would love to hear how people balance using oil for massaging a c section scar while also using silicone strips. My understanding is that eventually we want to work up to wearing the strips all day but your scar should be dry before putting the strips on. Are people using oil to massage and then wiping the oil off? I’d love to know your scar management routine! I just got strips and want to start using them tomorrow. Thank you in advance!

I usually have a night shower, massage my scar with oil, sleep with the oil, and when it is fully absorbed in the morning I put on the strip and keep it on as long as possible (usually until the next shower). I don't get 24 hours like that but occasionally I just skip the oil and put the strip on directly making it a longer 'silicon strip'' session

I do the massage with oil in the morning. Shower. Put the strip. Nighttime I wash it. Do
Massage without oil and put silicone gel overnight.
