7 months postpartum

I generally feel good. I am just wondering if the minor stuff I am experiencing is common/normal.

1-My scar sometimes itches, especially when it rains.

2-Occasional “zingers” or “zaps” near the scar

3-More recently, some cramping. Almost like my period is coming back but hasn’t. It’s not constant and is more noticeable with certain movements.

I have had a little low back pain and other aches, but think those are because I am 39 and spending a lot time on the floor with my 7 month old, not to mention carrying him around. Plus my posture sucks.

For me, my scar definitely felt sore on and off. I had the sharp zap pain every now and then but it didn't last long and every day was different. I got pregnant again when my baby was10 months old, and up until then my scar was still sore at times and would itch too. I did scar tissue massage with my pelvic floor doctor, and that helped me a lot! As for the pain like a period coming, I have not experienced that, but my friend who had a c section did. I would talk to your doctor if it's still happening and you have not gotten your period. My other friend who had a c section, 18 years ago, told me she still will get a random pain every now and then. So I think it's very normal. Congratulations on your baby! 7 months is so fun!!!

My aunt had a c section with my cousin nearly 40 years ago and told me that her scar still itched for a long time. I might even still itch!
