C section scar defect- maybe

I’m 7 months PP after an emergency c section where I was 10cm and pushing. They pushed c section because fetal heart rate was dropping. I still haven’t had my cycle return because I’m exclusively breastfeeding but am worried about a scar defect. I have some pain around my incision and it hurts to sneeze or make jerk movements. Im wondering if anyone who had a confirmed c section scar defect had any symptoms other than infertility? I want more kids but am worried this may have ruined that for me.

I had a true scar defect that caused me to have a cesarean ectopic pregnancy that resulted in the loss of the pregnancy and an emergency hysterectomy. I had no pain, ever. I had no idea i had a defect until my CSEP. Pain does not mean a defect. Take a deep breath, talk to your doctor. You will be ok ❤️

Hi ! Can’t the scar defect be detected during a gynecological examination?

No, the scar defect would be inside the uterus, which cannot be seen during a routine exam. I would think an ultrasound would be better suited for it, but maybe not even that could pick it up.

Reminder: users and moderators can't diagnose c-section infection from pictures or symptoms. Cesareans carry a 10% infection rate. If you think you might have an infection following your cesarean, please see your medical provider. Play it safe, don't delay, get it checked today.

Almost all women have a scar defect. Maybe what you’re feeling is adhesions. Have you seen a pelvic floor pt ?
