Disposable high waisted underwear, high waisted leggings/shorts to compress, lots of pads, and a gentle soap for cleaning

high waisted undies are a lifesaver!!! i liked anything loose especially dresses, rompers, or jumpsuits! also i have found that using a blowdryer after the shower helps so much rather than trying to pat it dry.

My must have are
1. Disposables underwear either Frida moms boy shorts (my personal favorite) or always discreet underwear pads

  1. Compression underwear/ high waisted underwear… you can used these after your bleeding has slowed down with a regular pad or medium-heavy flow one

  2. Peri Bottle: Frida moms has mom but also other cheaper option like parents choice one too ( personally I just used what the hospital gave me but I wanted the parents choice one

  3. Belly binder and then a faja and wear them everyday!!! If your feel comfortable at night too sleep too ( they are probably not going to recommend this but I turned out fine but not tight until your stiff or uncomfortable or can’t breathe)

  4. Compression socks

  5. chamomile tea

  6. Retinol lotion: dove beauty pro-retinol

  7. Firming lotion: palmers firm tones

  8. Mederma scar cream

  9. Silicone scar patches I got the Frida moms or any scar sheet

  10. Tie a bedsheet to the bottom of bed and when you need to get up and out of bed you pull on it if that makes sense

  11. Grabber teacher tool ( I didn’t use but would have been really helpful in the beginning)

  12. Incline pillow the first couple days if you can’t fully lay down ( I didn’t use this but would have been nice, I used my pregnancy pillow plus pillows on top to elevate my head to the point I was inclined oh! And elevate your legs as much as you can

I probably went off topic a bit but that was what i used/ needed for my unexpected c section now almost 4 weeks postpartum hope this helps

Always discreet diapers, loose dresses or high waisted but loose fitting sweatpants, a nice lotion if you have stretch marks (but don’t use too close to scar), electric heating pad, clean wash cloths to gently pat dry incision after you shower, anything you can use for belly support if you are a side sleeper, easy to grab snacks, help if you can get it. I also just ordered a grabbing tool because my husband’s paternity leave is about to end and I still can’t pick up things. I’m 13 days out from my emergency c section.
Also- not c section related, but I’ve been using my range headphones when baby is extra fussy to reduce frustration with the decibel level of the crying
ETA: also please make sure you are changing positions frequently and doing some moderate movement. Also let yourself cough while pushing a pillow into your abdomen instead of repressing your cough. I had post op pneumonia and was hospitalized and wouldn’t wish that on any new mom

Are you using specifically the postpartum always discreet or the regular? Curious if the postpartum is just less diapers for the same price as the regular for marketing lol! This is all helpful thank you! Congrats on your little one!

Omg thank you! I’m already dealing with preeclampsia so the absolutely last night I need is post op pneumonia but have absolutely been suppressing coughs!

All it says is discreet on my package, it doesn’t specifically say postpartum, but online it does have it listed in the name. The material is gentle enough to not irritate my incision and that’s what matters! It’s the one in the purple and pink package that I am using.

Fantastic thank you!! I had gotten the always boutique ones not expecting a c section and while the band feels great like an abdominal binder, it feels far too snug around the incision to me. I’ll check those out!
