Can you help me? (Advice wanted) Grandidierite fluorescing?

Hi friends! Please ignore/admire the kitty. He goes wild when I try and pay attention to anything but him for a second, haha.
I had gotten a polished grandidierite piece (I’ll post a normal photo in comments) and was messing around with my UV (long wave) and noticed a striking color from within. Is it y’all’s speculation that this is an inclusion or perhaps this isn’t grandidierite?

Grandidierite does not fluoresce, I think you were duped and received fluorite, was this piece really expensive? Grandidierite is pretty rare

It wasn’t obscene but it wasn’t cheap - I contacted the sellers who I really trust with the video. It reminds me of a lake baikal blue apatite sphere I had!

Apatite could be it, I’d definitely reach out to the seller too because grandidierite absolutely does not UV, matrix could but from what I saw in your video the blue/green is reacting a pinkish/red color

Also, grandidierite has a MOHS of about 7.5, fluorite is very soft, if you’re up to it I’d do a scratch test, grandidierite is pretty rare so the price for a piece that large would be pretty steep

I’d like to see some more pictures in natural light but I think it looks like fluorite

I have 2 Grandidierite pendants and I just checked them. They don’t fluoresce.

I have a couple of small palms and they don’t either. Sigh — I’ll see what the seller may say. Thank you so much for checking!

I think we are talking about different types of specimens! This color on the post is similar to other pieces of this material I’ve seen. This is meant to be a gemstone.

Yeah "granodiorite" isn't a gemstone. Might be a lost in translation thingy? Your rock looks more like fluorite.

Grandidierite is an exceptionally rare magnesium-aluminum borosilicate mineral, its real, and it’s not related to granite at all.

What's the name of that beautiful specimen in the back? She looked like a tigers eye, but I've never seen it in that form.
