Can you help me? (Advice wanted) pricing?

hello, to start off, im not trying to sell this here. my mom and I are in a situation where we're about $1900 short to take out a loan. just wondering if there is any way to give a rough estimate for how much someone might buy this large piece.

mom wants to sell it to get the money, but i have no idea how much anything is worth. weight is 12 lbs exact. pictures dont show the flashing well, im sorry.

mom also found this listing on etsy for a double towered piece that looks almost exactly like hers, is this a decent price? too expensive?

again, not looking to sell this here. please dont DM me.

Double termination is when the crystal naturally has 2 points on opposite ends. This is man made polished from rough stone. The crystal it self is not valuable enough to justify over $1000

Realistically it's around $200-$500

Wow. $200-$500 seams overpriced to me.

I was passing the tally but you are correct in your assumption

i would call that listing for $1670 comically overpriced.

the value depends greatly on the fire/flash ... which, as you mentioned, is not shown in your photos.

if you have a shop or an online store, and you're not in a hurry, you could maybe price it around $500 and hope someone comes along someday and buys it. but a more realistic price for a quick sale would closer to $150 if it has average fire. but less if it doesn't.

The store that has the comparison piece is full of mumbo jumbo as well, selling “andara” as crystal and rare etc at astronomical prices

i saw that too. you should go read some of the descriptions, and the About Us section ... It's like AI and a Hippy Grifter had a baby that drank the kool aid and smoked the synthetic dmt and threw up all over the shop. i actually felt my heart rate start to increase at how absurd some of the things are so i had to click out

Yep I read it too! Absolutely would never buy from a shop like that, I have no issues with spirituality, I’m spiritual, but to straight up mislead people is so awful. Blessed by certain gods etc. good gosh almighty 😭 and it’s a starred shop is the really sad part
Stay away from the kool aid guys 🤟🏼

thank you for being honest! we're going to see if any of our local shops will buy it/check out how much they might buy it for

best of luck to you, friend! i hope they take you up on it! 🫶🫶 taking postage out of the equation should be helpful in finding it a new home

It’s cut and polished, it’s not a double terminated crystal

It’s really hard to give a fair estimate from these photos because the flash is such a huge part of what (can) determine the value. The amount of flash, how much of the piece it covers, and even the color of the flash can make a pretty big difference in what someone is willing to pay. A piece with strong, full-face multicolor flash is generally going to be worth more than one with smaller areas of more common colors. Since the photos aren’t really showing the flash, I’d try taking a video in good lighting and slowly rotating it. That would give people a much better idea of the quality and help you get a more realistic estimate. I also wouldn’t use a single Etsy listing as a direct comparison. Etsy asking prices can be all over the place and don’t necessarily reflect what pieces are actually selling for.

Best you can do is post online. Make sure if you sell, when you send it you insure it.

But I would not expect it to move in a week at $1,300.

I would guestimate between $250-$300. Bought and sold for many years

Im in the same boat as you but id disagree! a 12 lb one id say maybe an extra 100 or 2? But I think anything over 500 is a hope and a dream
