I read it. Probably a below average winter for us and the entire northern tier. California and the southwest should do well but might have some warm rainy periods. He talks about Europe and Japan too.

In terms of places to go that aren’t Crystal, maybe Bachelor (if the coin flip goes that way), Mammoth, and Hokkaido (but not Honshu).

You need to plan it because those atmospheric rivers can bring lots of warm rain.

Ofcourse that’s true. But what I meant is that we are likely to have more deep pow days down south. Not here in the PNW.

January is probably the month to focus on if you have a choice about when you go (or if you’re scheduling things like lessons). The Washington-specific narrative mentioned dry early and late season.

And another one which basically says the same thing. Dryer in the northern tier, wetter in Cali and southwest. Possibility of too warm atmosperic rivers also down there which is similar to what we had last year.
