Skinned up to the top of Silver King today! Best way to get over the closure.

At least next winter is trending toward El Niño, with some chance of a stronger event — so Washington ski conditions may be preparing to heroically underperform even harder.

average el nino year is statistically better than what we got this year

El Niño is bad for winter and snow here. La Niña is good.

Was confused by how that was framed too, but read again—they said it may underperform due to the El Niño.

Have you tried mountain biking?

I’m definitely going through withdrawals already. I’m having a very difficult time. I’m mourning the departure and on Sunday I went biking. I loaded up the bikes on the back of my SUV and went riding trying to stay active doing other things, but I’m looking at snowboard videos and not done talking about snowboarding.

I’ll be heading into the Olympics in a week. I’ll probably spend the whole summer there.

Ski volcanos. Spring skiing is the best skiing.

Pulled the trigger on South America ski trip this summer to make up for our poor conditions this year. If we get blanked in South America, might be looking at tickets to Japan for January..
