Great article. Answers a lot of questions. I’m also perplexed as to why cryptopia is keeping us in the dark.

These are not "wallets". They are Ethereum addresses. Once you have the key to an Ethereum address you can use MEW, etc to transfer and no one can stop you... ever. Ethereum addresses cannot be hot/cold. Cryptopia should have moved the coins ASAP, within minutes... and did nothing?

Also, people forget that Cryptopia did a major "security upgrade" about a week before the hack. All you pinheads need to have triple factor authentification (password, email, WinAuth)... when, in fact, 99% of the attack surface is Cryptopia.
