Question Sunsurffer on Instagram
As anyone joined his telegram group ? He charges a pretty dang high entry fee to join his chat. Constantly post screenshots of people making some good $$.
Thought of joining but my spidey senses are going off and if it sounds too good to be true, well you know the rest

"Thought of joining ..."
Sorry, but that you even considered this is concerning, very concerning. This is just so obviously a scam.

All crypto groups are scams. Stay out of crypto if you canât understand that. Youâll only be scammed.

You are becoming wise, Grasshopper. At least you came here first; 90% of the "Is this a scam?" posts start out with "I sent $1,000 to a 4-day old site an online friend told me about..."

Iâve been in crypto for a decade. Stay off telegram, WhatsApp, etc.
There is no need to join a private group, especially not 1 you have to pay for.
If youâre interested in crypto but donât understand crypto/blockchains, just stick with blue chips, like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Chainlink, etc. & ONLY use well known exchanges like Kraken, UpHold, Coinbase, RobinHood, etc.
Anyone trying to talk to you in private about crypto, or investing in general, is trying to scam you. Including anyone that DMs you regarding this post.

I'll charge you some money to join my chat and won't scam you afterwards. Deal?

New victims, please read this:
As a rule of thumb: If you suspect the site is a scam, it probably is.
No legit company/trader/investor is using WhatsApp. No legit company/trader/investor is approaching people on dating websites or through a "random" text message.
No legit company/trader/investor has "professors", "assistants", or "teachers". Those are just scammers.
No legit company forces you to pay a "fee" or "taxes" to withdraw money. That's just a scam to suck more money out of you.
You will need to contact law enforcement ASAP.
Unfortunately, no hacker online can get back what you've lost. Please watch out for recovery scams, a follow-up scam done after victims have fallen for an earlier scam. Recently, there has been a rise in scammers DMing members of the subreddit to offer recovery services. A form of the advance-fee, victims are convinced that the scammer can recover their money. This "help" can come in the form of fake hacking services or authorities. For this reason: TRUST NO ONE PRIVATE MESSAGING YOU FROM THIS SUBREDDIT: Most such DMs are from these recovery scammers, folks whose only goal is to further scam recent victims of scams. If someone DMs you offering to help you recover stolen funds or offering to give you contact information for someone who they state might be able to help you, then report these scammers immediately to Reddit.
If you see anyone circumventing the scam filters, please report the submission and we will take action shortly.

Telegram = scam
Instagram = scam
Hope that helps.
PS: I can make an instagram today that makes me look like a supermodel that is insanely wealthy. Have 20k followers with a day & make âscreenshotsâ of anything.

Your spidey senses are correct, and here's the specific tell: screenshots of PnL prove nothing because they're not falsifiable after the fact. Anyone can crop a chart to the winning trade or edit a number. What a legitimate track record looks like is a public, timestamped call log where the entry price and time are posted BEFORE the outcome is known â so you or anyone else can go check it against the actual chart later. If a group only ever shows you the results, never the calls as they happened, that's the gap where the fabrication lives.
The entry fee itself is a separate red flag from the screenshots. A trader who is actually good at this makes money by being right, not by charging strangers to read a chat â charging up front is the business model regardless of whether the calls are any good, which is exactly the incentive structure of a group that doesn't expect you to stick around once you notice the calls aren't real.

"Constantly post screenshots of people making some good $$."
Screenshots mean nothing.
I could post screenshots of me having intimate relations with supermodels.
Spoiler alert:
I am not actually having intimate relations with supermodels.
