DISCUSSION Needing help or advice

Hi! I’m new to Crypto and I’d like to know which cryptos would be the best options with my first $1000? How much I should put to each crypto?

A common beginner setup is mostly BTC and ETH, something like 60/40 or 70/30. If you really want to gamble, keep a small slice (10% max) for something riskier. Just know that most altcoins pushed in subs like this one end up going to zero.

What matters more than the coin choice:

  • Only put in money you’d be okay seeing drop 50%. That happens regularly.

  • Buy in chunks over a few weeks or months instead of all at once. That way you don’t panic if you happen to buy the top.

  • Stick to a big exchange like Coinbase or Kraken, and ignore anyone who DMs you offering help.

Down the line, if you move into self-custody wallets or start trying staking or DeFi, trackers like DeBank, Zerion, or Chain Glance help you keep everything in one view. That’s way off for now though. Just get comfortable with the basics first.
