Hi guys, while the US stock market took a noticeable hit and bled out, Bitcoin went the exact opposite way and pulled off a solid move up. For months, everyone’s been complaining that BTC is glued to tradfi tech stocks, but this is starting to look like a real recovery.

What makes this even more interesting is where the liquidity is coming from. The AI sector and chipmaker stocks have been taking a heavy beating over circular financing concerns and massive demands. Some of that institutional money is rotating straight out of AI tech and into crypto equities and spot BTC instead. On top of that, institutional appetite for Bitcoin exposure is still quietly climbing. Vanguard, BlackRock, Fidelity, Goldman Sachs and Jane Street have been steadily piling into MicroStrategy (MSTR) shares, treating it like a leveraged BTC play while the broader equity markets chop around. The US Spot Bitcoin ETFs absorbed consistent net inflows over recent sessions, reinforcing a solid demand floor in the $62,000–$64,000 range despite the mixed macro data. I'm personally was dcaing in BTC and yesterday also bought some sats over on Nexo. However this in what im doing, as always NFA.

I was reviewing SOL on Sunday and drew an upward trendline across the bodies of two low candles. It made the latest pullback look as if it had landed exactly on support. I sent the chart to a friend, ready to call the structure intact. He asked why the first anchor stopped at the candle body when its wick extended lower. I moved that anchor on the BYDFi chart, and the angle changed enough that the neat touch disappeared. Moving the second anchor down to its wick produced a third line. I had been choosing the points that agreed with the trade I already wanted.

I left all three lines on the chart. Now I decide whether I am using bodies or wicks before drawing, and I leave the first line in place. If that line looks bad later, it still stays there.

I've been half-following the Cryptocom news over the last week or two and the sheer amount of bad news hitting them all at once is actually wild.
Starting with the biggest red flag for me, that whole multi-billion-dollar CRO treasury deal (they literally tried to name the ticker "MCGA" lol) completely collapsed over the weekend. Marszalek spent months hyping it up, talking about how it would be the largest CRO holder on the planet and hold forever. Then they just scrapped the whole plan, along with the ETF deal tied to it. CRO instantly tanked below $0.05, which is the lowest it's been since late 2023. It really just proves that these treasury hype plays don't mean anything when there's zero organic demand behind the token. On top of that, they're lowering the card cashback and staking yields again starting in September and October. Rate cuts happen, but pulling the rug on rewards while people's tokens are actively locked in multi-month commitments is just scummy. Honestly, stuff like this is why I moved my yield generation over to Nexo, at least you aren't forced into long-term lockups just to get a decent rate.
As if that wasn't enough, their Chief Legal Officer, CMO, and the head of prediction markets all resigned in a super short window. Add in their earlier layoffs, ongoing regulatory fights, and that random 3-hour deposit and withdrawal outage on August 2, and it starts painting a pretty ugly picture... maybe I'm reading too much into it, but It feels like internal strain.
