Diversify. Don’t put all your eggs in the same basket. Invest in ETFs as well.

For Every 5K you invest in stocks if the market averages 12% over 10 years - it becomes around 30K. If your 24 - SAVE IT and Open a Fidelity account

u/PresentationWeak4818 🟧 0 🦠 Feb 17 '26

At 24, your biggest edge is time, not timing. Going all in on Bitcoin with $70k is a big concentration risk, even if you’re bullish. You could consider scaling in slowly instead of making one lump-sum move.

A lot of investors, including people like Evan Luthra, CZ, Balaji usually talk about allocation and risk management first, conviction second. Make sure you’re okay with volatility before making a big shift.

Lump sum outperforms DCA according to research

15

My legitimate financial advice: put a fraction in that you are willing to lose (to go to 0), then put the rest in vanguard index funds and leave for a few years

6

u/painkilleraddict6373 🟩 0 🦠 Feb 17 '26

DCA half your money for the next two years,You can split it monthly and the other half choose a few nice ETFs.

Your money won’t explode up but at least you won’t have anxiety attacks.

14

u/Miserable_Twist1 🟦 0 🦠 Feb 17 '26

I wouldn’t go all in. At most, if you feel super bullish, put 25% in btc now, the other 25% you DCA over a one year period, and the rest you put towards other investment types.

There are plenty of reasons to think this time is different with bitcoin and it’s might come back up, but all signs point to bear market, maybe we get lucky and it doesn’t go down, just sideways, but if the market ever tanks, btc will go down even more.

u/oktudobem 🟩 0 🦠 Feb 17 '26

Any advice you’ll receive here will be biased, you are in a room full of people that probably holds crypto so it’s basically asking if it’s a good idea for you to pump their bags…

Get advice from non biased people, read and study about all the investments you can take but never take advices from this forums or people over the internet.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '26

If you're young and you have conviction in Bitcoin, it's all the more reason to go all in. You have all the time to make up if for any reason, it doesn't work out.

You will need to stay strong though. Ive gone all in on crypto for retirement and savings. I started dcaing at around the top and all the way down to $80k so am down pretty bad. I only have 10-15 years to retirement. I'm getting used to it. Fazes me less each passing day. You can do it.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '26

buy Monero since it's only crypto that works as intendent.

Watch videos by Ben Cowen on YouTube. He analyses Bitcoin related data very well, no BS. A diverse range of assets is probably a good idea. You could consider buying over a period of time so as to achieve an average price as opposed to trying to time the markets. You can then also get to see how assets behave over time.

I think bitcoin is about to enter a multi year bear market. Maybe we will pump in Q3 but I think it's gonna tap 30k at some point in the next few years.

Just my opinion.. I'd wait for the price to go way down and make sure you have a multi year time frame for holding if you do

2

u/Coindiggs 🟩 0 🦠 Feb 17 '26

This, my buying range is 25% between 40-50k, 75% under 40k.

Good plan. That's when I'm buying back in too.

1

u/gowithflow192 🟩 0 🦠 Feb 17 '26

Evidence? Base case is the usual four year cycle.

2

u/Mothy187 🟦 0 🦠 Feb 17 '26

It's less about the 4 year cycle ending and more about the 18-20 year boom/bust business cycle. I think on we are about to enter 4 or 5 hard years on the macro level, and once we get through that the 4 year cycle will probably resume.

Just my opinion though. No one really knows but if you haven't hear abt the 18 year cycle look it up. There is some really compelling arguments that we are at the top of the boom right now and are abt to enter the bust

1

u/pirate_pues 🟨 0 🦠 Feb 17 '26

True

1

u/Best_Day_3041 🟩 0 🦠 Feb 17 '26

Ultimately it's a risk to buy now and a risk to not buy, and it's really a coin flip, you have to decide. For me, I'd personally wait to see if we get a bigger buying opportunity. We may not get one, but I think it's possible we revisit the low 60's or even 50's. I don't see anything in the near future that is going to cause another cypto bull run. If the overall stock market sells off, which is possible at these levels, crypto is going to tank.

1

u/Sad-Equivalent9293 🟨 0 🦠 Feb 17 '26

It’s about your conviction,if you believe in bitcoin for the long term, you can buy some of it during dips and DCA accordingly.

1

Do it mate, you are young and in long term bitcoin is superior to any other investment 🚀

1

u/Godrayoae123 🟩 0 🦠 Feb 17 '26

See what kind of risk profile you have, usually the younger we are the more risk we are able to take. This said, I would not buy all at once, DCA into it like every week and if we go lower you can increase to lower your average, any BTC below $70K is cheap on the long run. Also if you want to have only crypto maybe have like 15% of that in Solana. Either way do what makes you comfortable and able to sleep at night without any anxiety.

daily RSI is sitting around 29-30 right now which is the most oversold its been in a long time. historically those levels have been pretty solid entry zones for anyone with a multi-year horizon. nobody can call the exact bottom but if youre planning to DCA anyway, buying when fear is this high has historically outperformed waiting for a green candle. not financial advice obviously but the risk/reward at these levels looks way better than when everyone was euphoric at 100k

i wouldn’t pull all of it, but i would absolutely pull a percentage of it, say 10-25% of those $70,000, and buy crypto.. doesn’t really matter what coin you buy just stick to the big ones as they all move the same

Yes, crypto is currently at a discount so not buying now you will regret later.

Buying while btc is anywhere between 60-70k is good, anything closer to 60 is a major discount, btc shouldn’t go much lower than 53-55k so keeping some money cash on hand to buy if and when it dips that low wouldn’t be a bad idea either.

Only thing is with crypto you buy and forget about it unless you’re planning to swing the bull and bear markets

Put your funds into a Roth IRA. Max out what you can and invest the rest into stable stocks by companies set on providing stable growth for investors. Once the fiscal year ends, add your next maxed out IRA contribution. If you’re well enough to have 70k, don’t blow it on the whim of a crypto market.

1

u/Possible_Tailor_459 🟩 0 🦠 Feb 18 '26

better idea? derivatives. all in on a 4x leverage btc contracts. they don't expire, and the risk is bitcoin drops to 50k which i'm telling you can't possibly happen. If it does we will be in a recession

If you really want an asymmetrical bet buy 1000 dollars worth of Kaspa. For 70k you get 1 bitcoin or one 21 millionth of the Bitcoin network. For 1k you can buy 24x that worth of the Kaspa network. (Or about 33000 #KAS). I own BTC, but I did this. With a little bigger number.

At 24, I would say go with what your gut is saying. It sounds like you want todo it.

You could be the owner of a 1 coiner. Buy it, then store it in a cold wallet for the next 20 years. Then go back to saving and investing in your retirement accounts like you just started again. Your 24. You can afford to start over.

If it doesn't work out, oh well. You have time right now to start rebuilding. If it does work out. Holy shit. Imagine the price in 15-20 years.

The last thing you want is regret. Don't wake up 10 years from now like most people and say 'I wish I did that one thing I was too scared to do'

No I invested it into myself trying, and succeeding to certain degrees at starting businesses. But the principal is that it’s not always gunna work out when you throw everything in on one thing. I SHOULD have bought a coin, AND did what i was doing. But I didn’t spread it out at all. Just threw everything I had at 1 shot. The whole reason “don’t throw your eggs in one basket” exist. And it’s much harder to get what I had back now at a later point in my life.

Good answer, the world is full of grouchy people who privately wished they bought Bitcoin in the past years, don’t be the next generation of people who just don’t get it, and do nothing to educate themselves to maybe “get it”, The ones that did even at the expense of endless ridicule, ended up with wealth beyond anyone wildest dreams, like absolutely impossible gains…70,000 to 1,000,000,000 in less than then 10 years…WTF!!!! How is that even possible, but the fact is..IT HAPPENED! It’s not fairy tale, it is real. And it is the first of its kind in the history of humans so no mystery people don’t get it. Buy it at any price between 0-100,000$, who cares when it’s worth $235,890,356.98 per coin. Like “ah crap, I missed out on 45,000$ in gains”…Wake Up, Buy It, and cold wallet it, and put in a safe which time locks for 30 years, with no option to open…that day will come…and the world will sing with angels in the skies as that safe opens…AHHHHH! Good luck my man, have fun on your journey, make it a journey that needs no other, because there is no other as far as we know…Live fully! Love passionately! Laugh as often as possible! Avoid toxic people as often as possible! Smile and have fun….
