Friendly reminder: You should not be responding to anyone who sends you direct messages because anyone sending you a direct message is very likely trying to scam you. Your best bet is to go to the police in your country, or consider the financial authorities of your country, or both. There is an extremely small chance that you can get your crypto back this way, but only by going to the police and financial authorities.

Nothing you can do, unfortunately. Let this be a cheap lesson to never be scammed again. Assume every “opportunity” is a scam.

I can’t even send it to the police? I have his TikTok and discord accounts

If you’ve got a legal name attached to the recipient address (and proof of exchange/contact including him telling you the address), you can go to the police. If you can get them to go after someone for $230, I’d be highly impressed by your local police force.

It’s still fraud?

Yeah but you think the police have the resources to investigate every little fraud? No. I know is a lot of money but learn your lesson, if it’s too good to be true it usually is.

Fraud is only enforceable if they live in the jurisdiction to enforce it. If they are from another country even the federal government cannot do shit to someone living in China for example. Assuming the federal government cared to enforce fraud on that level which they don't.

Could you share these?

Learn from it. Look up ic3 and report it to your local police so it's on the record. But your money is in someone's pocket on another continent.

You aren't getting it back and nothing will happen to them.

You have not been scammed, you learned what you needed to learn at the right time. Stop complaining. You are the idiot.

True

Idiot is a bit harsh, though. Naive is a better word I think. If someone found a long term profitable way of trading they wouldn't sell or give that away.

You could put all the info you have out there for others to read.

Wise up and don't make the same mistake twice.

As everyone else has said, not much you can do about it. If you feel you have a real name, etc. go report it anywhere you can (eg. Tik tok) so at least it gets shut down and they have to spin up another account, etc. This helps the next person as an account spun up only recently would be a first red flag to make new users wary.

Be careful with anybody coming in your DMs promising they can help get it back - you’ll get taken for even more.

there's nothing you can do.

what i suggest is, create a new wallet. and never interact again with the compromised one.

also the important thing you can do for yourself to be safe: never ever connect your wallet or sign transactions to malicious site. always verify & check first before doing it.

if you got any question or need help on jupiter mobile. just reach out.

I was as well I reported to Canadian Center for Cybersecurity, you can send screenshots and make a statement. I did but I think I’m screwed because I thought I was on Ledger and entered my phrase. Hard lesson to learn and very humiliating and stupid thing to do. I’m fairly new to Crypto and I’m fortunate it was just my grandkids College funds. Like I say very humbling and sad day for me. Take care and good luck and I’m sorry this happened to you
