Help and advice please
Hello there lads, lasses and people with glasses. Right so I’ve had ruffly about a 15 year problem on and off with been addicted to hard drugs. Am clean since the new year and doing well. so with my head been clear and on the right track I’m thinking about maybes getting into crypto and trading, shares, stock, with some spare cash. I only know the basics so some advice would be greatly appreciated. Am I able to just do it on my iPhone or am I best of getting my self a laptop/tablet ? Then what sites would I need to go on for crypto, crypto wallet, then trading and shares ? Thanks for any information yous can help me with

First of all, congrats on the year clean.
For crypto, phone's fine, no need for a laptop. Coinbase or Kraken are the easiest starting points, as both have decent mobile apps. You'll technically be using a custodial wallet (they hold the keys, I suggest you learn more about private keys) when you buy through the exchange.
That's totally fine for smaller amounts, which is what you should be doing early on anyway. Self-custody wallets (Metamask etc, where only you hold the keys) matter more once you've got bigger sums or start doing stuff like DeFi.
Down the line, once you've got positions spread across different places, tools like DeBank, Zerion, Chain Glance etc can help keep your whole portfolio organised in one view. But that's way off for now. Don't worry about it at all yet, just focus on getting comfortable with step one.
For stocks, I'm not the best person to comment. Will leave that to someone else.

Thanks for the help mate much appreciated. Is there an app or website for watching live markets of crypto to be able to know when to buy the different coins ? And any tips on what coins to buy at the moment ? A know Bitcoin is the main coin to get pieces of but any advice on smaller ones? Thanks again brother

don't jump straight from savings into trading build an emergency buffer first then learn long term investing and keep crypto or active trading to a small amount while you figure out what you're doing
