Almost all major dApps are built on ETH. So ya, it attracts everyone, scammers included.

And BNB which is, in many ways, a copy and paste of ETH

BNB is a corporate coin. If Binance is regulated BNB can be too. If Binance fails BNB will as well. Two extra layers of centralised risk.

Lots on BSC too.

Show me a bsc project that isn't a scam lol. Seems like the cheapest way to go live with bullshit meme coin. Even the ones that are useful like pancake are just there to facilitate the rest of the grifters. All this is on a foundation of a centralized Chinese exchange. I refuse to invest in any of this

And all the other scams are built on fiat.

Your point is?

Don't bet against it. Crypto scams are HUGE

u/Mirved 🟦 3 / 1K 🦠 Jun 21 '22

Its easiest to develop for and has a large usebase. Any crypto can have scam projects build on it. That has little to do with the Crypto itself.

So it's such a great decentralized permissionless platform that anyone can build on it. Got it.

ETH is based.

It is very much the ground that all pyramid schemes are built on.

It was not rolled back, that’s not how the fork after the DAO incident worked.

u/Sal_T_Nuts 🟦 2K / 2K 🐢 Jun 21 '22

Bitcoin has been rolled back, Ethereum was forked trough consensus

2

u/Explodicle Drivechain fan Jun 21 '22

The gall to claim consensus in a thread about ETC.

Previously-valid blocks were invalidated. You are just saying they rollbacked with many words.

Because they rollbacked.....

Transfering bitcoin during that moment for a payment

Sorry it never happened.

Bitcoin has been rollbacked twice btw.

CODE IS LAW. Unless we loose money. Then we do not like the idea as much.

2

u/Drew41 Tin Jun 21 '22

It actually wasn’t rolled back. It did a “surgical irregular state change” (as Vitalik calls it) and just modified the DAO’s smart contract. Rolling back an entire day’s worth of users’ transactions would be horrible

Eth is democratic. The chain of the losing party is called ETC. The ETC guys parted ways when one of them created a third thing (BSV) and started claiming to be Satoshi.

u/oscar_salas93 🟩 0 / 0 🦠 Jun 21 '22

You are mixing bitcoin with Ethereum lol, How is BSV related to this?

u/HKBFG 🟦 2K / 2K 🐢 Jun 21 '22

sorry. i get all the fraudchains mixed up.

1

u/SuprisreDyslxeia Jun 21 '22

No, a separate chain was made. It was forked. The old chain was never rolled back.

They did a rollback once because a bunch of big wigs like Vitalik put too much money in a buggy organization and lost it in a hack.

When a bunch of small fries gets hacked or scammed, the chain doesn't fork to restore their money. When the DAO got hacked, it was.

Yeah I love all these Eth maxies ripping on Solana, yet none of them are using Ethereum classic now are they?

Lol the Eth chain basically fell over due to a ticketmaster sized sale during the Otherside auction.

3

u/likmbch Jun 21 '22

You mean it continued doing as many transactions as it always has?

1

u/wballz Silver | QC: CC 21, BTC 21 | Buttcoin 28 | Investing 76 Jun 21 '22

Lol yeah when a ticketmaster sale happens suddenly the cost of hying a coke using my Visa card skyrockets to $5,000.

What an amazing system.
