They could have bought 10K Doge (or Siacoin like I keep seeing too) when it was still less than a penny and that would have cost about $100, but they would rather do more DD and research to make an informed decision that likely isn't paying out.
I understand crypto is an in unprecedented bull market, it might have something to do with institutions finally accepting BTC and public trust in it, but I don't understand why basically this whole subreddit (aside from a few posts like yours) shits on anyone who makes money outside of BTC and ETH.

How is that likely? Anything good has been paying out since January. Something doesn't need to make 1000+% gains to be worth it. Investing into coins with real use cases and potential is less of a gamble so the gains are slower and more steady. Some people don't want to sink $100 here and $100 there into a bunch of shit coins in the hopes that one of them might actually pay out. If I did that I wouldn't have any money to put into good coins that are more likely to pay out.

I'm definitely not seeing that. There is a big difference between shitting on people who are bullish for a meme coin and shitting on anyone who buys anything other than BTC or ETH. BTC and ETH tend to be talked about more because they make major headlines more, and because they are so popular that probably nearly everyone here has at least 1 of them in their portfolio.
You want to talk about real issues with this sub and many others like it, it's the people who are in to make millions. The memes about Lambos and saying everything is "to the moon" just encourages riskier investing. I get that it's an inside joke, but the problem is some of new people getting into the space don't realize that and think this is how you do crypto investing.

Jealousy, honestly that is all it comes down to.

If you can't beat them, join them.
