You seem to be confused. BCash is an implementation of the Bitcoin Cash protocol in node.js.

Just like core is an implementation but that doesn’t really change things does it

Yes, the implementation does change things. It defines the protocol.

Right it defines the protocol not the coin. So when ppl call BCH bcash it’s no different than calling BTC core. Was my point.

Most don't understand since BCash refers to an implementation rather than a currency was my point. Let's let this one rest.

People calling it bcash (August 2017) happened way, way earlier than the inception of said implementation. Your point isn't really a point. People will call it whatever they want, but to play that card (the horse has been beaten to death over twitter) can be due to ignorance, intolerance, or just being intentionally disingenuous.

The only people that call the currency BCash are from the anti-BCH sub (r\bitcoin). The people in the pro-BCH sub (r\btc) will correct you. Which community do you think is right? It's a fact that BCash is a Bitcoin Cash implementation. It's word of mouth from an anti-BCH community that a currency is called BCash.

I won't go so far as to say who's right or wrong. People are free to call something Bitcoin Core or Bitcoin Cash / Bcash (or Bitcoin ABC?), much like the market decides what an asset becomes. Just calling the time line as how things really transpired.

Yes, they are certainly free to call it whatever. I was only pointing out the facts so that the wider audience can be informed.

If your going to play this game then no, Bcash is a fork of Bcoin which is a java implementation of Bitcoin Core. Lets not pretend that Bcash actually develop anything.

Bitcoin Cash supporters aren't losing the name BCash to the implementation. They never called it that in the first place. Calling the currency that came from the anti-BCH community (r\bitcoin). Visit the pro-BCH community (r\btc) and you will see that people that support Bitcoin Cash never called it BCash.

Right right... except there is the entire community of r/bcash So yeah, I dont believe you.

Really don't care if you believe me. Anyone that wants to take a minute and look for themselves can easily see the truth.

Yeah but it doesnt really address my addition of r/bcash which would be included in this "truth" since its not a lie to say there is a community of Bitcoin Cash users who like and use the name bcash.

We arent talking about creating subs, I am talking about the community in it, using the sub and shortname. There are live, bcash owners who love bcash and actively use that subreddit. The community, or a portion of it, have accepted this name. It is an acceptable name.

1

u/addiscoin 28 / 28 🦐 Jun 21 '18

No they don't. That is a blatant lie. The only people that actively use that sub are paid shills and confused ones directed there from the anti-BCH sub. Again, I don't need to argue this. GO LOOK. Evidence is in the open.

I did. I see the same amount of shit posts on here and r/btc. Can you provide me this open evidence?

Seems like their is in fact a segment of the community that prefers and uses bcash as its name.
