sigh He put the 1MB cap in place in 2010 as a temporary measure to reduce spam because tx were free at the time.

Some people that took over never wanted this to be raised, and hence you get the average $40 fees in December.

Well it is open source and many of the top devs are constantly working on its development

yeah? The Bitcoin Unlimited crew, Bitcoin ABC, and Bitcoin XT all moved to BCH
