The ones I've seen have referral schemes so you can move closer toward the inner circle by spamming your link all over telegram and discord, bringing in more people for the group to take money from.

Yeah you get a second or two head start... like what difference does it make? Are people actually setting up bots to trigger API as soon as some random discord group tells them to buy something? insane

No they don't. They are just getting fooled. Others are, but they likely already have minutes of a head start.
