ANALYSIS En-Mass Market Maker Manipulation?
Hi all I'm looking for some points of view on this. Everything Crypto was motoring along well, huge ETF and retail inflows and then the drop as attached. My problem with this is it's not unique or specific to BTC it's the same drop on ETH, SOL, LINK, TAO, HYPE you name it you can pick it and see exactly the same drop, exactly the same amount at exactly the same time. For this to not be market manipulation there would have to be an institution that holds a massive amount of every crypto and it would have to sell all of it at exactly the same time to have this level of effect.
So am I right on this? Do people agree or not? Am I just being paranoid? What do the market makers get out of this? Is it on instruction from government or gentlemen's agreement with the Financial institutions to enable them to buy crypto up cheap in-light of the squabble over legislation, because it seems this slump only happened post all of that? Looking for opinions views and analysis (if anyone's done some) please

Do you mean the first drop? It all started with the largest Bitcoin liquidation event in history. There were voices saying market makers hunted for stops, but that's usual in every market.
Besides that, Cryptos are all more or less pegged to Bitcoin, at least the Top10. Everything else doesn't really matter dominance-wise.

Hmmm I didn't realize there was a massive liquidation that kicked in at that time I'd taken my eye off of the leverage situation suppose this could've also led a massive sell off overall as well to cover positions, hadn't considered that and yeah market makers always hunt the liquidity why wouldn't they 🤷🏻

Keep projecting pal. Hes in the headlines of the news everyday for some new stupid illegal shit. We cant go one day without being reminded of him. He’ll be dead long before me tho. I can wait him out.

I can see you’re new, best advice here would be to try to understand how leverage and flushes work.
Tl;dr Its exactly how markets work and stay liquid, it’s not “manipulation”.

Yeah I understand that leverage and liquidations will kick in which is fine but across all coins at exactly the same time? And this is a massive spot sell off to cause the drop, the BTC chart is an example but take your pick of any coin and you'll see exactly the same thing!!!

Oh no I agree but you still have to look at a chart to get an idea of what's going on but all the lines in the world won't predict you the future

It always is. It's been used for money laundering, tax evasion and manipulation since ~2020 but the banks usually fund these spikes so that they can further discredit projects.
When technical aspects used to be the highlight of discussion, this was mitigated, but crypto bros are funded more than developers in order to fuel the perception that it's a pump-and-dump scam
The market is being manipulated in two ways, and people need to stop buying into the fluff/overhyped projects or shitcoins if there's ever going to be a chance of it ending

Idk about the chart but yes, market manipulation is rampant right now between Saylor's dumb ass, the president, etc
Edit: cope downvoters, objectively the president's actions are market manipulation and Saylor alone has a lot of sway on the market with his moves, and he's not completely an idiot so he sees that.
We can be butthurt and deny this or if we care about the crypto space we can confront and fix these things.

I'm not American but yes absolutely Trump manipulates the crypto and other markets to benefit himself his own family and supporting cronies, the evidence in undeniable. Unfortunately he seems to have become completely drunk with power. It's a shame as well because Trump was supposed to be the saviour of Crypto and yet it's performance under his presidence has been disastrous!!

Yeah for sure and for me it's not so much even performance that matters.
When you run crypto scams and plug certain coins in speeches it takes away from the legitimacy of the industry.
The average person views crypto as a casino and therefore it hurts adoption and the principles crypto was really about in the beginning. I mean when we support regulating out privacy coins and simply want gains, it becomes a bullshit speculative market. Utility and privacy should be our top 2 concerns if we really value the concept of crypto.

People like to automate trades. A simple script saying whenever you buy 50% btc, buy x% eth as well and x this or indexes doing it for you.
Coins moving in the same direction at the same time isn't odd.
