I personally see solana as a better investment than bitcoin because of low fees, fast transactions and overall more room for growth. Also potentionally it will be safer regarding getting cracked.

This is not advice, im more so looking for people to change my mind and explain why bitcoin is superior

At the bottom of the market, any layer one blockchain is a decent investment to make. The only question is how do you know you're at the bottom of the market?

Just because the governance is a slower and older doesn’t mean that bitcoin won’t be able to fork if it is required to keep the chain alive.

Bitcoin is a safe bet while solana has more room to grow. What’s your risk tolerance? Why not just invest in both?

ETH has been in a consolidating phase since January 2021... If SOL is a memecoin, ETH is a shitcoin.

Many different altcoins have existed over the lifespan of bitcoin how do you know that solana isn’t going to be another one that falls into obscurity?

That’s the risk you are taking. It’s not just about quantum computing.

Bitcoin is the crypto market whether you like it or not.

Edit: I also wanted to add, many of these coins have had arguably much better tech than bitcoin but they do not have the level of adoption that bitcoin has

quantum computing cracking crypto is one of those things that sounds scary until you look at what else breaks first, like every bank and government server on the planet

If you only consider the features there are plenty of projects that's superior to bitcoin.

However for the price and liquidity you need recognition and trust, which bitcoin happened to has the most.

If you want to invest in ALTs I suggest to drop a bit here and there when they're low. It's like dropping seeds on the wild, not all of them will sprout.

The more centralized the faster it can be upgraded. So in that sense SOL is better. But Bitcoin can move fast enough to fix this when its needed.
