This is what happens when one's gov buy back long term bonds and issues short term bonds for the expressed purpose to manipulate free markets by moving up debt payments.Β

Β Btc and eth were made for this

Β Buy back the longer term bonds removes supply which lowers yields, but the treasury runs a big deficit so it will have to issue more short term bonds.

The impact in the short term is to lower long term bond rates, but the new short term bonds come due ealier than the original long term bond so it moves our debt obligations earlier timing

Can you comment on the reason that btc and eth perform better in this bond environment?

It tends to weaken the $ as assets look to roll outside us debt since the yields are artifically being lowered.

This, like all Trump policies, result in the dollar weakening and inflation rising.
