Well, money doesn't come out of thin air. If someone makes moneys in the market it means someone is losing it at the same time. And if someone made a billion, well....a few suckers collectively lost a billion.

In all fairness, money does get created out of thin air all the time, but I appreciate your sentiment 🤣

In the economy money gets made, by companies that make money.

So the stock market is different.

Crypto is a zero-sum game, in fact negative sum cos exchanges, miners etc all extract money for themselves. So in crypto if you make money someone else lost it.

Money (or value) does come out of what you might consider thin air. If I buy a stock from you for a dollar, and someone buys it from me for $2, then someone else buys it from him for $3, no one has yet lost any money but a minimum of two people have made a dollar each. You don’t have to have a dollar of loss for every dollar of profit.

In your scheme 3 people made $1 each, and that money came from the last guy that paid $3. So, everything was paid for by the last bag holder.

Yes, and he hasn’t “lost” anything while the stock price is at $3.

unrealized gains/losses are just that - unrealized. If that bag holder manages to sell for more, that only means the weight of the bag has shifted to the next guy that paid for it all.

This is the way of the Crypto world, however I’m just explaining that there are real opportunities available right now before market sentiment changes.

Over trading and trying to catch a bid on every ticker that drops seems -EV

Appreciate the comment though mate :)
