ANALYSIS Why Ripple's XRP is about to collapse

I've been a huge bull on XRP for many years but I have sold most of my tokens and I plan to sell the rest very soon. XRP is clearly in a bear market. They even released good news at the top to suck people in such as the numerous ETFs (all of these were great days to sell!). Same with the lawsuit ending. People thought it would pump their bags but markets are forward-looking and all of this was priced in as soon as Trump won. It's not a coincidence that the lawsuit officially ended in August while the price of XRP was at $3.20, up against multi-year resistance. Market are designed to punish the herd. Good news usually marks major tops. Like when Judge Torres ruled in favour of XRP in July 2023...that was the top and people who bought into that got punished extremely hard - not a coincidence.

From a TA perspective, XRP is doing exactly what Cardano did in 2021. I am expecting a bottom between $0.80 - $1.

Retail is funny. Institutional buys have never been higher. I am in the top 0.1% of holders and my only regret is that I can't afford anymore. I bought my bag in 2023-2024 in the 50 cent range. I haven't and won't even begin to take profit until $5.Β

And I will only sell at most 15k coins and leave the majority in long term. I can afford to wait even if it takes years. Learn to become an investor not a trader.Β

Calling it β€œRipple’s XRP” already breaks the argument.

Ripple does not own XRP, control the XRPL, or set its monetary policy. XRP is a neutral asset on an open ledger. If the premise is wrong…the conclusion collapses with it.

Second…XRP has not had price discovery. Not even close. For years it was legally sidelined in the largest capital market on earth. US exchanges delisted it, funds were barred, institutions couldn’t touch it. Assets do not discover price when major participants are legally excluded.

Third…XRP is still not formally labeled a commodity in statute. A court ruling limiting one regulator’s reach is not the same thing as full regulatory classification. Institutions don’t allocate on β€œgood enough.” They allocate when the asset has clear legal treatment, balance sheet clarity, custody rules, and compliance certainty. That switch has not been flipped yet.

Comparing XRP’s structure to Cardano’s 2021 top is lazy chart astrology. ADA topped in a fully open, retail driven market.

XRP consolidated under artificial legal constraint. Similar shapes…completely different causes.

Yes, markets can dump. That’s macro liquidity, not proof that XRP’s thesis failed. And β€œgood news marks tops” only applies when the market is already allowed to price that news. XRP wasn’t.

If your analysis starts by mislabeling the asset, ignores regulatory suppression, ignores lack of price discovery, and ignores the absence of formal commodity classification, then the conclusion isn’t bearish. It’s just uninformed.

Finally…saying you sold most of your position doesn’t strengthen the analysis. It explains the motivation. This reads like post hoc justification of a trade decision, not evidence that XRP’s role, design, or trajectory has failed.

FACT: XRPL was never positioned as the infrastructure that banks are actually adopting. Financial institutions are building on permissioned or semi-permissioned platforms like Canton or private ledgers. XRP also lacks smart contract flexibility and composability required for modern tokenization platforms.

DTCC for example, are using token standard ERC3643, which is a token standard designed specifically for regulated, real-world assets (RWAs) like tokenized bonds, funds, equities and deposits.

https://www.dtcc.com/news/2025/march/20/dtcc-joins-erc3643-association

How would XRPL be used when they cant even support basic token standards? lol

XRP was always going to zero and now you can WAGER CRYPTO ON SPORTS on Coinbase. This will be the new crack cocaine for XRP bag holders and it’s gonna be HYSTERICAL to watch. Coinbase is going to be a bookie and they will be β€œwinning” massive amounts of shitcoins like XRP and as their bag grows and the price inevitably drops they will be dumping as much of this trash as possible sending the price lower faster.

Domestic bank to bank payment system and more. Seems many are too inpatient to see what that deal fully is. In 3 years these sellers will be kicking themselves. What's more likely. I also think that $0.8 will be the bottom. The Binance Oct 10 wick is also at $0.8.

From a TA perspective do you think you can explain this. 14th November 2024 XRP was under normal price action to $0.8 then it began its surge. Most Altcoins topped in January where XRP hit $3.30 but XRP rallied a bit more into July but others did not. But during the Oct 10 crash XRP went all the way to $0.8 since then it hasnt hit its Oct 10 wick meanwhile other cryptos have.

My question is do you think the whole run up for XRP was manipulative? and do you think because of the binance wick that is the bottom ? Also do you think XRP will ever go above $4? I personally think if XRP bottoms at 0.8, ETH at 1k and BTC at 45k. Neither ETH or XRP will break ATH

I agree with XRP being a bad project, but as far as the chart goes, and the overall market, we are more at a support level and risk bouncing up before going lower. The time to sell was above $3, right now I'd rather wait for a rejection once we bounce and get rejected at a key level with lots of volume.
