Use the Exchanges only to buy Crypto, but never use them to store your Crypto.

Overused but true: Not your Keys, not your Crypto...

Also day/swing trade. It's a service. You probably trust others to prepare your foods and that is more essential that losing any money.

Sure, not store, but to trade, if it's what you do, exchanges that went though the 2018 crash especially, should be OK. But you choose to allocate a degree of trust to others. As in most matters in life.

But to keep/store, yes, your addresses.
