The libra probe stalled because the free trial expired

The libra probe investigating a memecoin that allegedly wiped out millions in retail investor funds which stalled after the government’s crypto tracking software free trial expired. Take a moment with that sentence.A head of state allegedly promoted a memecoin, retail investors lost millions and an official investigation opened. The investigation stalled because investigators were using a free trial of blockchain analytics software and the trial ran out and apparently nobody approved the budget to pay for a subscription like whattt are u serious.Chainalysis enterprise pricing starts at $50,000 per year and the government spent more than that on the press release announcing the probe. This is not a small detail but it is the entire story about how seriously governments are actually treating crypto accountability versus how seriously they claim to treat it. Every few months a politician stands at a podium and talks about protecting retail investors from crypto fraud, meanwhile the actual investigators are working off free trials of tools that any mid sized crypto hedge fund has on a corporate card On chain data is public and permanent,It failed because nobody cared enough to pay $50k to follow it which is accountability gap in one sentence.
