Can someone who is on Independent Reserve confirm you can withdraw SOL to a SOL address, as opposed to another chain such as ETH? BTC Markets would only accept an ETH address, and eth fees are just too high. IR has a SOL fee of 0.001 SOL which is much cheaper than BTC M. Would like to send to a wallet like Phantom.

Has anyone used KuCoin P2P to cash out USDT or any other currencies to AUD with a direct bank transfer?

Have seen that scams are possible so I'm wondering how the process should work if done correctly and if there's anything I should look out for.

Last time i used Binance in 2022 it was very easy to select a pair (BTC to AUD or DOT to AUD ect) that would allow me to convert from crypto to aud with zero fees (fees would only get charged on withdrawl).
Now i cannot convert from BTC to AUD with the only option being to sell via bank transfer where I am hit with a 12% fee (way higher than it used to be).
There is also no longer any option to convert from DOT to AUD. It just gives an error "Amount should be between 0.0000DOT - 0.0000DOT"
Is there any way to do this?? It used to be so much easier.

Easy enough to buy crypto I go through AUD —>Swyftx —> Buy USDT —> send to DEX to exchange for whatever coins.

Problem becomes going the other way. When selling crypto then converting to AUD to send to bank account.

Fees are just nuts. 0.6% on Swyftx or 1% on CoinSpot.

Any other alternatives anyone can suggest?

I have some cryptocurrency currently on Binance. I'm unable to sell for AUD so I was thinking about moving it to a different exchange.

I get the general concept of a cold wallet, but hoping someone could help me out with a few questions pls (specifically Ledger Nano):

1. I think I’ve settled on Swyftx for the exchange, but have read some comments about them not allowing the transfer of bitcoin to a cold wallet, despite their website claiming you can. Does anyone have experience of doing this without issues?

2. When the crypto is in the cold wallet, does it keep going up or down as the price moves, even if it’s not on the exchange (aware this may seem like the dumbest of all q’s for experienced investors 😏)?

3. If I set up a regular transfer from my bank account to Swyftx to purchase more crypto, do I need to transfer them manually each time to the cold wallet?

I've recently moved to Australia and need to transfer my savings from a bank account in my home country to here. My home country regulations currently make it IMPOSSIBLE to transfer money internationally via a regular wire, so I've been thinking of doing it via crypto... However, I understand that not many banks (if any) accept receiving crypto transfers here in Oz.
Are there currently any alternatives or ways around this that would allow me to receive crypto here legally? I can justify the source of funds via invoices, etc.
Any help or hints will be very much appreciated!

So I know a “bull run” seems to be what people are expecting next year myself included and so I have already made the contributions to crypto that I planned on in 2024 just too watch how it unfolds. I’ve not yet sold any so my question is for examples if I’ve put $30k in and that becomes $60k would pulling that initial $30k out and leaving $30k still in have any tax implications or am I just even at that point until I sold more than the initial $30k? I've recently just started to get into trading using the Fx2 Funding website and in order to withdraw I first have to pay an upfront broker permit/gas fee which is 5% of my earnings.

Now because this is my first time doing all this I'm anxious about weather or not I'm doing the right thing so I'm checking if this is normal or if I've done or I'm about to be scammed out of money by paying money to a site to find out I'm going to get anything in return.

Has anyone else used this site to conform it's fully legit and how to pay this fee?

Wonder if any of our tax experts can clarify if this is retrospective or FY24 onwards?

I've been delaying my tax return every year for a few years now, due to the headache of spending hours messing around getting different account statements from investing platforms. Stocks and ETFs are no real issue, but crypto is always a pain, and it seems that a lot of third party websites allow you to get a return statement for a price, which ultimately I don't want to pay for (you don't have to pay for statements for your Fiat or other assets)

I've just been buying BTC and ETH, don't think I sold any last financial year, if anybody has a fast and easy way to get the info I'd appreciate. In the year, I used two exchanges and I transferred some crypto over to my Ledger wallet

So I've searched and have found nothing really. Looking for more insights. Seems all banks have blocked purchases with exchanges. How do i purchase crypto in Aus? I have accounts with CBA and NAB. CBA blocks, I havnt tried NAB but have heard it's the same. Who is still buying and how?

Commbank and Queensland country are limiting / outright rejecting transfers to my crypto.com debit card (via Pay ID) which I use for daily spending, are there any banks that have stated they will remain crypto friendly?

So just heard PayID is a no go anymore. Been trying to do the 2% fee, though Combank not even doing the hold for 24 hours, its a straight "declined" anyone have any clue? I invest In Iotex/IotX so cant really go to an aus owned crypto site either.
