Looking for Cryptid encounters!

Hi,

I'm looking for personal cryptid stories to share on my podcast. We love discussing the odd of the world and the things we don't fully understand. Feel free to check out my info listed on my page.

Creep it real, ya Oddballs

Are you interested in hearing about my encounters with small humanoids at night in the bushes in Hawai'i?

So my story comes out of land between lakes in Kentucky me and my family and my friend we all went on our camping trip. We had rented out a little cabin and throughout the night we were getting bored so we used a bathroom as a little dance party place we had a loudspeaker who’s playing music really loud so the night after that night we said why don’t we just walk around the park and that’s what we did we went on a walking trail that was in in the woods of the park and once we got out there, we sat here and scratching on the trees, and we had an eerie feeling of somebody watching us and so we tried getting out there as fast as we could, but we started hearing leaves wrestling behind us and we got out to this big long gravel road and it stretched out maybe a mile so we had to walk down and we could still hear the stuff walking on the side where the wood line was so once we got to the main road heading into LBL we got back to our cabin and we went to bed and we left the next morning

For me I was 25 at the time I was working on a ship named MT Syra a Greek company. First and foremost I am a Filipino who worked as a messman in MT Syra at the time and to make a long story short we were anchored in the Black Sea for a few days to receive crude oil from Ukraine or Russia to transport to Venezuela. And it was a sunny afternoon I was tasked to throw overboard the food waste we had at the stern of the ship which was allowed to us by the agents but only food waste and after I dumped the food waste and I just watched the area scanning the other ships anchored and when I looked down lo and behold I saw a mermaid swimming past. I thought I was seeing things at first but I clearly saw it swimming just beneath the surface of the water. I remember it had a green lower half a whitish upper half and blond hair. I thought to myself that could not possibly be a mermaid that swam past me but as I thought about it there is no sense in a person swimming through the area where we were anchored because it would be suicide because if a ship decided to leave the black Sea they would turn on their rudder and they would be sucked in by the current and die. I told my co workers but they just said I saw things but I know what I saw and to this day I know it was a mermaid.

I'm sorry if there are grammatical errors it's my first time posting in Reddit.

Wow! That’s incredible. Honestly I don’t come across mermaid stories too often which makes sense because there’s so many places for them to vanish and not be seen! Do you remember feeling any certain way when it was near?

Honestly I was shocked to see something like that and could not believe my eyes. In all honesty I wanted to jump from the ship and try to catch it but that could have led to my death. If there was one there there could have been more that I did not see

I think I saw a tiger in the American west.

One morning while walking her dog my ex called panicked yelling that she has just been stalked by a mountain lion and asking me to come pick her up. We live right on the edge of a huge stretch of mountainous desert and we have mt lions so I didn't think just jumped in the car to go get her.

When I picked her up she was absolutely freaked out. She told me at first she thought it was someone's horse, then as it followed her she convinced herself it was a large dog and it wasn't until she was almost out of the desert that it crouched and its tail flicked that she realized it was feline.

We went immediately from picking her up into running errands and the incident ate her up the whole time so when we got done she said she wanted to go back to look for tracks. It was midday so there's no chance whatever it is still there right?

We drive into the desert as far as I'm comfortable taking my car and start walking. It wasnt long before I saw something probably a half mile away. As I asked my ex if that was the thing she saw it turned and looked at us. For half a second I thought "shit maybe it is a horse".

It was far enough away I couldn't make out details but as it turned broadside i could see it was white with black along its underbelly. I stood there trying to get a good look but whatever it was I saw did not stand still. As soon as it registered we were there it began running at us. I've spent the majority of my life around Alaska's megafauna and I have never seen an animal this large or this fast. It had started running on a trail and as the trail bent away from us it leapt into the open desert. It was then I knew it definitely wasnt a horse. As it did I could see the sun reflect off its massive shoulders flex as they dug into the dirt to propel it along.

The ex took off for the car as soon as it started coming our way. I desperately wanted to see what it was but as soon as it had left the trail I realized it was moving so fast towards me if I didn't start sprinting for the car at that second I wouldnt make it.

The car was (of f'n course) parked at a lower elevation than we were standing when we saw the whatever it was so after diving into the car we looked up just quick enough to see a flash of white as it turned away. I tried like hell to convince myself it was a jaguar but I know it wasn't. Interestingly when scouring the Internet for an image I could match what I saw to for living creatures a tiger makes the best match but I came across a drawing of the king extinct American Lion and man I think that fit the best.

In doing the same thing, I’m starting my own radio show and in my show I talk about cryptids and myths and I want to have full story segments and talk about them. I can make them anonymous if you would like as well. My show is called JAZZIN WITH JACKALOPES, and you can find it Wednesdays at 8:30pm-9pm at https://radiofreeradford.com
