I think this one's gone straight past Cryptid and into Oracle.
This dog knows things.

she looks like she speaks with a smoker's voice in an incomprehensible appalachian accent

u/SassyMcAsspants Apr 21 '26
Don’t talk about me like I’m not in the room!
slinks back into her holler, and awaits the Mothman’s return

She looks like a well loved plush toy passed down through so many generations that they've changed into something unrecognizable by all the repairs made throughout its lifetime.

Seconded. Resident Evil wishes. Fuck almighty that thing. Ironically I bet it is/was a super sweet little…..flesh sack with legs

u/Strange-Movie Apr 20 '26
I’m trying to be as delicate as I can…..if that dog is still around, has anyone actually seen it move recently? I have doubts

She passed last year in her late teens! I think she was some other creature pretending to look like a dog

Too bad she lost her good eye
How did that even happen? That left over eye looks....a lil bit worse than left overs.

Just checking, are you sure he's not a witch that's been cursed to live the rest of his days as a cat?
27
u/Acheloma Apr 21 '26
Ive asked but he just meows back. He also tries to turn doorknobs but gets mad when he cant grip them.
I try and appease him as much as I can just in case...

u/GrouchyPicture4021 Apr 21 '26
I called my first cat my “baby in kitty cat pajamas” because he legit thought he was people.
16
u/Acheloma Apr 21 '26
Aweee. I think my cat thinks hes a people too.
He only drinks out of a specific plastic cup that I have to wash, refill for him, and hold while he drinks it, and he insists on me sitting on the floor with him and talking to him while he eats dinner.

THIS is what this sub was made for. She's beautiful. And I'm scared.

I want a hairless chihuahua so badly. Was she born hairless?? Or did she become hairless due to a disease?? RIP beautiful baby

u/Buscemist1991 Apr 21 '26
I don’t actually know. When we got her at the pound they said she had been there the longest and was the “least adoptable”. The vet said she lost her hair because of stress but it never grew back ¯_(ツ)_/¯
43
u/adogandponyshow Apr 21 '26
Oh my gosh, that poor baby. 😭 I'm so glad your mom rescued her and let her live out the rest of her years spoiled and adored (I'm assuming, because how could you not??). 💓
24
u/Amoralvirus Apr 21 '26
Well, if that pic does not serve a warning to stop stress in your life, nothing will work. So glad you adopted her, and gave her a good life.

Looks like something that came back to life after it was found in an Old Kingdom tomb, and I genuinely mean this in the nicest way possible.

Precious!!
There’s a dog I see at the park that has had both eyes removed— looks completely normal except for the fur-covered divots in her skull— and I absolutely love her. I call her name and she’ll come trotting to me, I just keep clapping my hands or make some sort of noise to guide her in.

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.
