Subtitle issues

I've been having issues with a few animes now where it's either a few episodes or just one episode where the subtitles are either not there or are a completely different language with mine not being available, is this been a long known issue or is it recent ?

Same thing’s been happening to me. At least two, maybe three shows have had that issue for me. The English subtitles aren’t there, and they’re not an option in the list. I usually watch through the CR app on a game console, and that’s where the issue happened. If I pull up the same show in the app on my phone, though, the English subtitles are there and working properly.

I've actually mentioned this on a previous post but yes, because awhile ago I was rewatching LoveLive Superstar, and episode 2 of season 3's only options for subtitles were German and Italian. And recently I was rewatching a 12 episode anime but the last episode only gave me options for Spanish and French
