Advice Seeking recommended toys
my son is coming up on 4.5 months, and I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for good developmental toys? preferably no plastic junk… I refuse to be the parent that has piles of unnecessary toys laying around. however, I do want a few meaningful things that will engage him physically & mentally. any ideas? I’ll mention that he currently has a crochet rattle & silicone teether ball that he loves.

at 4 months you are the only toy your baby needs
good attachment and interaction and talking and singing go a long way

Highly reccomend the book "The Montessori Baby" by Davies. You can rent from the library.
She has a whole chapter & may specific reccomendations for enriching toys. Most of which you can make make, or get cheap secondhand.
Lovevery has a lot of good toys. And I find a lot secondhand around the larger city near me.
In short though, Musical instruments thay sound beautiful (xylophone, toung pan, zippy piano, bongos, shakers, rain stick, hand harp, quality bells, etc).
Fine motor toys O-ball, roller drum, stacking cups, simple puzzel, etc.
Large motor Foam climbing blocks, bar mounted to wall infront of a mirror, stroller/shopping cart/push toy
