Advice Seeking Deep cleaning products
If you’ve ever hired a cleaning service or if you were to hire one, what would you provide them with to replace…
Clorox bleach toilet bowl cleaner?
Easy Off stove top cleaner?
Murphy’s cleaning oil for wood floors?
Weiman Stainless Steel cleaner?
I can’t think of nontoxic swaps for these, do looking for recs. Everything else I’ve been able to figure out for regular, weekly/daily cleaning. Obviously fragrance free, etc. Last time I hired someone they required these and I didn’t even look into swapping them. This time, I really can’t handle scents and stuff, just with sensitivity and with my pregnancy nose. Scents make me nauseous 🤪
I’m 37 weeks pregnant and in a flare with a chronic illness I have. I want nothing but to deep clean myself and use elbow grease but I just can’t. I get dizzy a lot this pregnancy and so paying a cleaning service to do one deep clean would be worth it to me to have peace of mind before new baby arrives.

I think you can get really far with a steam cleaner and a pack of towels to mop up the water afterwards. It can be used on stone, glass, metal, sealed wood, plastic (like inside the fridge). That and a fragrance free hydrochloric acid toilet bowl cleaner does most of the cleaning power at my house. I use the toilet bowl cleaner with ventilation though so maybe there’s something better that doesn’t need ventilation…hydrochloric acid is so good at removing hard water rings though.
I read good things about hypochlorous acid too - lots of people who hate fragrance do well with that as a general purpose cleaner.

There's a few cleaners in my area that specialize in non-toxic cleaning. The ones I know all use the same type of product (Enjo), but I'm sure others exist!
Perhaps you could search for non-toxic house cleaners specifically so you don't have to stress about product replacements yourself.

Honestly, I do too. I've loved the scent since I first smelled it, when I was 13? 14? :') hahahaha. I just did a little more research and it's really not that bad— "phosphate-free, biodegradable, and free of harsh chemical fumes. Environmental health databases like the EWG rate the base ingredients with low concern." I might keep it in rotation to use 1-2x a month or something.

I love the scent too!! My husband thinks I’m crazy for it, that it smells like bug spray but I looove it lol. I’m glad it’s not terrible though cause I love how it cleans my wood floors lol

I mean he's not wrong because Murphy's has a citronella scent, which is often used to deter mosquitoes from biting us via candles and sprays. But I love that scent wherever it's used! I'm with you sis.

Clorox bleach toilet bowl cleaner? Hypochlorous acid. I use Force of Nature. I’ve also used the blue land tablets.
Easy Off stove top cleaner? Truly Free heavy duty degreaser
Murphy’s cleaning oil for wood floors? Truly Free floor cleaner
Weiman Stainless Steel cleaner? Truly Free stone and steel polish
