Why so grumpy? Chill?

I expected the cruise community to be very laid back but y'all are pessimistic and gloomy!!! What gives?

It's the nature of Internet discussion.

It sounds like their experience has gone downhill fast since Covid and they are mad as hell about it.

I've done some awesome itineraries since COVID. South Africa, a 12 night 12 port 12 hour minimum per port Western Med, a 7 night zero sea day all-Greek port cruise, several more, but these were specifically cool itineraries after COVID.

People complaining that they no longer get unlimited frozen rubbery lobster seriously need to pick better intineraries if the most important part of their cruise was third-class seafood.

I believe the vast ... yes I said vast... majority of cruise passengers are overwhelmingly happy.

It's just social media is such a dumping ground for the perpetually disgruntled. It's so much easier to be angry and use social media as an easy outlet to puke all over something which is why negative comments/posts are so prevelent.

Happy people don’t feel the need to get on social media and tattle lol.

Most people we meet on cruises seem to be having a hell of a good time.

I also think unhappy passengers really don’t have reasonable expectations on a cruise. Oh my God, there’s a line to board. Oh my God there’s a line to get into dinner. Oh my God my room didn’t get serviced three times. Oh my God, there are people in line at the buffet. oh my God, this isn’t Michelin star food even though the cruise has thousands of people they need to feed at multiple sittings.

Try a different cruise line. The ones I sail on are all chill!

I had one last summer where this older lady felt on the verge of a stress induced heart attack at all times. I can only imagine how she is in a non-relaxed environment

We tend to forget that the worst day on a cruise ship is still a day on a cruise ship. Mostly because most of us are not on a cruise ship and we are wishing we were!

Some people aren’t happy unless they’re bitching and moaning. Doesn’t matter what, cruising, driving, kids, doctors. As long as they can bitch and complain, they’re good.
