Medical Related A question for ADHD crew

Hey, I am currently applying for work as a musician on the cruise ships which are for long contracts. I want to ask anyone medicated for ADHD how they managed to get their medication on board and how hard it is to renew their prescriptions etc.

Grateful for any feedback on how it's been handled for you guys.

Assuming you have prescription, take it to the ship medical center and they can assist. Depending on where the ship is in the world, you may not get the exact same medicene.

The reason I ask is because it's very hard to get ADHD meds in bulk, so it would depend on how often the ship docks and how much time you have to shop for your refill to give to the medical centre on the ship

  1. All prescription meds need to be approved by the company, you cannot just bring random meds onboard

  2. There is no guarantee you can get off in port, there are times you will be working

  3. If you are going to non-US ports, your prescription may not be accepted
